Having files in an unmanaged environment can cause problems with access to the files, backups, and data integrity. They have files stored in various locations, such as on shared network drives or on their personal workstations. A large number of marketing departments currently do not take advantage of document management systems such as ProjectWise. Marketing Departments create proposals and publishing materials as well as internal communications in design engineering firms. The compound nature of the content that was needed was in ProjectWise and marketing departments did not have access. InDesign integration was implemented due to business unit constraints for BIM organizations and marketing requirements. Currently, we do not integrate with InDesign Creative Cloud or other Adobe software.
The ProjectWise InDesign Integration module is delivered as an “add-in” that can be installed on top of an existing ProjectWise Explorer Client V8i (SELECT series 4) 08.11.11.574 or later. Adobe InDesign CS6 (Creative Suite) can now be integrated with ProjectWise Explorer on Windows OS.
